The Human Tune Up

Friday, April 11th, 2008

One thing I enjoy about life in 21st century America is the incredible amount of options we have. Technology and abundant knowledge have afforded us many opportunities to change our world, and ourselves. In the past, the human body was limited to undergoing certain, inevitable changes based on age and other circumstances. Now, with the power of skilled doctors and surgery, we can reverse certain effects and restore a natural form and function to our physique.

Hair transplants, facelifts, and vaginal tightening are just a few of the procedures that have been and continue to be used to give people back the physical look and feel that they had years ago.

It’s interesting how certain issues that used to be taboo to discuss are now a bit more openly accepted. For instance, some women are to a certain degree unimpressed with the changes their bodies accrue over time. Childbirth and aging can have major physiological effects, and many of those effects are not compatible with the most thrilling of sex lives. Not that a sex life is the only type of life. But for many, it’s highly crucial to a successful relationship.

These effects, coupled with our knowledge of the potential to reverse them, have led to a new wave of interest in plastic surgery. Dr. Miklos and Dr. Moore are two internationally renowned surgeons who operate out of Atlanta, and have used surgery and lasers to reform that certain part of a woman’s body to make it regain its lost youth. They have done this in 46 states, and in 23 countries. Their comprehensive web site can be reached at LVRAtlanta.com.

If You Want Lasik, Go To Texas

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Because that’s where Jack Holladay lives. What a cool name. Like a combination between Jack Slater (Professional Action Hero) and Doc Holliday (The Famous Dentist).

But it takes more than a name to justify crossing into sovereign Texas soil! If only there was some kind of list… oh, here it is:

  • Jack Holladay, MD is a surgeon. Lasik surgeon.

  • He is an engineer.
  • He is a physician.
  • He is a teacher to other surgeons.
  • He has written books on eye surgery.
  • He has been published many, many times in medical journals.
  • He was the president of various ophthalmology organizations.
  • He advises the manufacturers of certain medical devices.
  • He has won various honors and awards.
  • He is certified by USAEyes, a nonprofit Lasik patient advocacy group.
  • He was “acknowledged in 2002-2003 as one of the ‘Best Doctors in America.’”
  • Inside Houston Magazine recognized him as one of the “Top Doctors In Houston.”

In Houston, he’s in the top. In America, he’s among the best. With Lasik, he’s a pro. It’s all good! So if you want Lasik, you could go with some Dr. Nick, or you could go to Texas.

Got Drugs?

Friday, March 21st, 2008

I just watched a “Little Bush” cartoon episode featuring the use of massive doses of prescription medications. It was a wild and wacky time when the kids started taking pills. Let’s see, little George became a friendly yes-man, little Condi became angry, and little Cheney became a hippy! Honestly, it’s crazy what’s on TV these days.

The older “George Bush” took something that increased his testosterone. Basically, it acted like Viagra and created a crude and unfortunate situation for him.

But some people really do need the stuff. If you’d like to buy Viagra online, you might try eDrugstore.md. I just found out that the .md extension is really representative of Moldova. But it has also been used for medical things, and for the state of Maryland.

Anyhoo, eDrugstore.md is a company that establishes itself as a provider of name brand prescription medications only. No generics! And they guarantee the lowest prices around (that is, online).

On “Little Bush,” the kids had to go see a doctor in person to get their pills. Now we don’t have to! They also noticed a huge price differential between the U.S. and Canada. But thanks to the internet and competition, prices should be at a decent level no matter where you are when you log on.
