Temporary Housing Options

Thursday, April 3rd, 2008

This is neat, I didn’t know there was a company like this. If you’re on business, or a government assignment, or your house blows up and you need a place to stay, National Corporate Housing can help you find temporary housing that’s perfect for you. Affordable custom corporate housing is just one of their specialties.

Instead of you sifting through classified ads or spending hours surfing the web, you just let NCH know what you want and need, and they’ll search their database. You can specify where you want to live in a new town, like near a school or your new office, or near the city’s hot spot. You can also indicate which floor you want to live on, and whether you need a garage, custom furnishings and amenities, and a pet-friendly atmosphere.

This can be a great service for when you’re relocating because of work, and it’s very helpful if some kind of disaster uproots your family. National Corporate Housing would work directly with your insurance company in the case of a housing catastrophe. So whatever your situation, if you’re in need of affordable temporary housing, National Corporate Housing can provide a solution.

Before I clicked on the message, all I saw was "Curtis Anthony — PROPOSAL." "Hmm, I wonder it could be? A business proposal, perhaps? Lucrative, maybe? Oh goody, oh goody, oh goody…"

"100% LEGAL!"

That's hilarious. I wasn't even wondering, "Is this legal?" That's like the kind of thing you have to say after explaining your million dollar idea to someone who has doubts.

"I don't know. Are you sure it's legal to transfer all those millions of dollars from those banks to your Swiss account?"

"Sure. In fact, it's One Hundred Percent legal!"

"Oh, ok then…If you say so…I'll go get my credit card…"

Coaching Isn't Just For Sports Anymore

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

I’ve heard about motivational speakers. They get up in front of an audience and inspire people to succeed. Then I saw on TV that there are people who do the same thing over the phone, 1 on 1. Now I’ve learned that there are coaches for business!

ActionCOACH is a company of people highly committed to what they do, very positive about doing it, and extremely successful. They continually do their best at being honest and balanced.

What is an ActionCOACH? A business coach. What is a business coach? Like a sports coach. When you’re an athlete, your coach says, “Gimme another lap.” You say, “I’m too tired.” Coach says, “Gimme another lap!” You run that extra lap. When the day of the race arrives, you’re better prepared because that coach continually pushed you, just like with that extra lap. A business coach will do the same.

But ActionCOACHes don’t just push you. They also listen, and give you their honest opinion. So unlike a “Yes Man,” an ActionCOACH won’t hesitate to tell you that your plan is flawed. It can be a timesaver (and a face saver) to learn of potential issues from a trusted source before you put your reputation on the line to back an untested idea. And that’s just one of the ways an ActionCOACH can help.

The ActionCOACH team has the goal of lifting up everyone they come into contact with in such a way that those people achieve the lives of their dreams.

This concept is incredible. Well, it strikes me as such. I mean, the whole idea of business coaches seems counter-intuitive at first. Aren’t business people motivated all by themselves? When you really think about it, though, everybody can find reasons to justify to themselves why they don’t need to go the extra mile. It gets so easy to rationalize little things here and there. Pretty soon we’re justifying a mediocre outcome. It seems to me that an ActionCOACH’s job is to continually give you that extra push in the right direction, down the path of doing more and producing better results. And if that winds up earning you a promotion and a raise that isn’t cancelled out by the next tax bracket, then wouldn’t having an ActionCOACH be worth it? I think so.

Small Business Loans Without The Hassle

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Let’s say you’ve got a great idea for an invention. Something that will revolutionize an industry. Maybe even the whole world. So your plan is to take out a loan and start your business. But where to begin? The process is probably going to be really, really complicated. I guess it’s not worth doing, it’s so complicated. Time to give up. No! Never give up! Maybe you’ve already got experiences you can draw from…

Have you ever wanted to get a small business loan, but the clerk was really needy? He kept asking for things like “collateral” and “a business plan.” Yeah right! Forget him. There’s a better way.

Some companies specialize in providing Unsecured Small Business Loans. EZUnsecured.com is one of those companies. No worries, no hassles. The process is so easy. Simple, really, because they aren’t asking as many tough questions. You don’t have to provide collateral. You don’t have to articulate your business plan. You can simply enjoy the fast funding and excellent service.

At EZUnsecured.com, they make it clear that many small business ventures fail because they aren’t well-funded. With an unsecured loan, you can eliminate that problem before it has a chance to hurt your entrepreneurial endeavors. What are you waiting for? Pick up the phone and call 1-800-201-0001. That’s 1-800-201-0001. Operators are standing by.

Or, you could just visit EZUnsecured.com!

The Other Side Of Learning

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

A little while ago I wrote about learning online. That’s cool, especially because it makes the task of learning so much simpler. But sometimes when you’re in charge, you’ll tell someone to go learn, and then wonder about it later. I mean, how can you judge whether someone has learned what they were supposed to? Sure, through testing, but when you’re the boss, you don’t have time to say, “Pop quiz, hot shot.” So what do you do?

Track them! Did you know there is software for training administration in a business or company, and that same software can track each “student’s” progress? It’s like having an extra set of eyes in your employee’s computer! Well, not as creepy as that. It’s like having a kindly butler to update you every time your “student” completes a lesson.

I found out about training administration through ConductIt.com. You can track employees as they receive new educational training, and as they work toward any sort of licensing. So like if you had someone working for you and they needed to be certified in something, you’d get the right program and then be able to watch and see how long it takes them to finish it. That would ensure that your workforce is kept up to date and cutting-edge at all times.

And if someone plays hooky, you’d know enough to justify giving them an F!

Trick To Getting The Edge Online

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

I came across a post by Seth Godin, marking expert, called The 7% solution.

He presents the following problem: You're in business. Everyone else is lowering their prices. You must raise yours. What do you do to keep attracting customers, even with the highest prices around?

What could you do to make your blog or website worth visiting, even if you charge all your visitors a fee?

If you can answer that, you know how to achieve the edge online.

The problem Godin presents is a type of scenario that gets you thinking in a different way. When you solve it, you reveal answers to your own questions of, "How do I do better?" and "What should I do differently?" We often already know the answers to these questions, but it is difficult to find them within ourselves without phrasing things just right. Godin's way helps us do that.

Here's another question: If you knew you were going to die if your website didn't reach its goals this month, what would you do? How would you accomplish those goals if your life depended on it?

Sometimes we need to shift our perspective a little before solutions can jump out at us.

There are lots of other questions like these out there. I bet you can think of a few.
